As of 6 this morning, my iPhone 4S is out to be delivered to me!! I ordered the two black 16GB and 64GB iPhone 4S on Saturday and when my mom got the email, it said, 'shipping next day'. We thought there was no mail OR packages delivered on President's Day, so, me being the tech-o savvy girl I am, I did a search.
Come to find out that we can get packages, USPS, UPS, and FedEx do know its a federal holiday but don't have to follow the rules. So I'm expecting my phone sometimes from now until 3PM.
Now, I did a second search to see if we had to sign for it because these phones are coming from the Sprint Store, not the Apple Store. I couldn't figure that out, I could only figure out that FedEx required a signature. I know there's a limit on money before you have to sign for something. I had this whole big issue with my first touch screen iPod, we didn't know. My Mom and Dad were at work, I was at school. They "said" they left two little sticky notes when they only left ONE and were going to ship it back to sender, so we raced over to UPS in the county above us, just in time too. The truck was going to leave in 10 minutes.
I know my first laptop we had to sign for, not so much my MacBook, my BluRay player, or my TV now that I think about it. Who knows? We haven't gotten new phones since my junior year (almost 4 years ago). Okay, do you want to know how scary creepy this is? This will the third phone my Mom and I've shared (like the identical phone). The first one was a silver shitty flip phone (I thought I was so cool). Then I lost that one, got a blue flip phone. Then my mom wanted to change plans so, we both got these blue and black flip keyboard phones (And, I thought I was so cool for having that phone with a keyboard before anyone else). Then I think mine was dying so I went with my Optimus S touch screen phone and my Mom went with the 2nd gen of the keyboard phone. Now, we both have iPhones... *shutters*
The only thing I'm NOT looking forward to is teaching my Mom how to use the iPhone. *face palms*
We did have a few issues that were sorted out by Sprint Tech, Samantha and myself. My Mom is having more issues than I am - mainly because I know what I'm doing and my Mom doesn't.
Just finished adding all my songs, apps, and videos onto it and I'm beyond happy with it. I also went out today, and experimented with it. Sends texts easily, even with photos.
The only thing that pisses me off is that I'm use to a return key on the iPod after you type in your word password, which I have. Now its an emergency keypad. Nothing wrong with that, I'm just so use to doing it that way, it will take me awhile to get use to it. Now the other thing I need to get use to is that the headphone jack is on TOP, not BOTTOM. So far I haven't turned it up-side-down but let's give me until later on tonight to see.
Until tomorrow,
~Molly
