Happy Birthday to My Best Friend

Today, February 9th, 2013 is my best friend's 20th birthday. So, happy birthday, Rebekah!

13 days apart, we are. :)

Anyway, let me tell you how we met. We "officially" met in the third grade and hit it off instantly because that year we did everything together. Why I put officially in quotations? 'Cuz she found some pictures of when we were little at my other friend, Jennifer's birthday party - when we were 5! FIVE! I didn't know Bekah when I was five, I only knew Jen when I was five. Apparently we were close because I wouldn't leave her side during the party. I had no idea I actually met Rebekah at a birthday party.

Back to the topic, Bekah and I have been best friends since 3rd grade until now so, 12 years give or take a couple of months. So, 12 years of best friend life is a lot in my book. But I'm sure 15 years with my best friend forever, Sarah, is better. I love Sarah! But this post isn't about Sarah, this is about Rebekah!

So, Bekah found pictures while she was home at Christmas of me and her together. I couldn't help but smile to see all the pictures. Even some, I tilted my head in confusion. One was at Halloween time, our library USED to put on this pumpkin carving and movie (the original Frankenweenie) to help the kids get ready for Halloween. At the time, I didn't care for Halloween, oh, has that changed. Anyway, I only remembered going with Bekah and Sarah, meeting Brandon there. But I looked closely at the picture and saw Nate. I asked, "Is that Nate B?" Bekah nodded. "I don't remember him being there,"
"Me neither." She replied.

I was looking at the pictures, finding some from our trip to Boston, Mass. with a bus trip and with Sarah. The three of us (well, correction, two of us and one forced) to get on this statue that was sitting outside the children's museum. Sarah was afraid of heights, still is to this day. More on that later. So, it was a great day being at the children's museum and I'd love to go back. My mom still doesn't believe I went on the rock climbing wall, she keeps saying it was Sarah or Bekah. Sarah was afraid of heights and I couldn't get Bekah on it. Or, I should say, her mother didn't want her going on it.

We never had a fight, ever.

We like the same things. We have simpler taste in clothes. We have the same sense of humor. We love the same shows. We understand each other. We also laugh at anything. More on that later too. We have the same taste in music (most of the time). I write her into a lot of my stories, especially for FanFiction and she loves me stories.

She is my editor/beta for my stories I write for FanFiction too. She really good!

Until tomorrow,

-Molly
